Here are a few opportunities for Rotaractors to help Build their leadership skills through training

Big West

Big West is an organization that holds two annual large scale events each year. The first is their training for new officers both at the club and district level and the second is the Big West conference that takes place each October.

Big West Institute

Allows for the new board members of a club to join fellow Rotaractors in learning how to run a club meeting, create a budget, plan a major event and how to work with a sponsoring Rotary club.

Big West Conference

As shown below, Big West conference brings together hundreds of Rotaractors from the west coast of the USA and Canada each year to learn about new opportunities, create lasting friendships and rise to a new height of leadership as a Big West Director.

PETS

President Elect Training Seminar: Starting in 2020, South West PETS allowed Rotaractors for the first time to join this wonderful training lead by Rotary. Here you learn and collaborate with fellow Rotaractors and Rotarians to better prepare for your year as president of Conejo Valley Rotaract.

You will learn various methods and best practices along with setting meeting times with your local Rotary club presidents who are your partners in Rotary. You may even have the chance to meet the Rotary International incoming president and ask your burning questions for how this all works on a global scale.

Rotary International Convention:

The crown jewel of the Rotary events is the annual convention. It moves from city to city the world over and is a must at least once in the life time of a Rotaractor.

During this week-long event provided you take part in the Rotaract pre-convention, you will find yourself learning of new cultures and customs, new ways to run your club and certainly new friends that you will have all over the world.

Also, it never hurts to ask for finical aid to attend this event as many Rotary clubs would be happy to help sponsor the continuing education of Rotary through the mind and eyes of a Rotaractor.
